The BayMOO R&D MOO has opened to the public. The address is:

If you would like to port your character from BayMOO to BayRD, type 'port'
at the login screen. Otherwise, feel free to connect as a guest or request
a new character.

ABOUT BAYRD:

The BayMOO R&D MOO is a new MOO provided to encourage new development activity
for BayMOO. Characters and programmer bits will be granted on a liberal basis.
You are encouraged to build and develop new and interesting things on BayRD.
If you develop something that you would like to move back into BayMOO, please
contact a wizard.

There are some significant differences in the two MOOs though. At BayRD, we
attempting to be more democratic. The MOO population has a say in the way
things are run through the petition/ballot system (help is avaliable there
for this). The janitors become what we truely wanted to be from the start,
janitors. The MOO will basically be ran this way.

Other resources (such as quota) very scarce in this database, can be granted
more liberally.

The two databases are separate and the policies from each should have no
influence on the other. This will be a perfect ground for designing new
generics and other objects.

Please note that BayRD's primary role is to provide a development environment
for BayMOO programmers and builders to work on small to large projects to
contribute to BayMOO. Everyone is welcome to explore and build, but please
keep the theme and history of BayMOO in mind as you work.
