The registration desk stands to the right of a staircase up to the rooms. You notice marks on the wall, with dates, and are not reassured when told that these marks represent the high-water mark on the given date--some of them are over your head. Noone seems to be behind the counter, though, and you wait patiently hoping someone will come and that there will be a room available for you here.
