Natural lighting filters in through two windows that look out into the depths of the forest to the north and east. Puffy clouds in a deep blue sky roll by you slowly and majestically. A pot-bellied stove is in the center with a cooking area to the side. Several gallon jugs under the sink are taken to a mountain stream where fresh, cold water is collected and brought back for cooking. A rocker is tucked in the corner and a small table lamp provides all the light that is necessary.
Wooden beams line the ceiling and mounted on two of the beams is a hammock with two soft, fluffy pillows and a handmade quilt of geometric designs on it. There is a comfy sofa you can sit on and chat with friends. A wall phone with an answering machine is hung on the east wall and a post-it is stuck next to it for jotting down numbers and pizza shops.
