The Streets of Athens

You stand inbetween many houses, and watch your head - people throw water out of the windows above, every once in a while. You notice that you have to step over rather large cubes of block every once in a while. These cubes serve two purposes - 1. They serve as a 'speed-bump' for carts lead by horses; they would have to slow down to have the wheels of the cart fit inbetween the blocks. 2. They serve as a 'cross-walk' for pedestrians, to get from one side of the street to the other safely.
