Sargasso Terminal

Deep beneath the surface of the earth, the Sargasso Terminal sits near the center of the complex network of underground rivers, ocean depths and marine vortices that make up the Sargasso. On the west side, the floor of the terminal disappears below the surface of the Sargasso, a beach of rough dark gravel. Its other walls are rough and uneven. They look as if they have been shaped by the swirling water of the central vortex which churns the dark waters outside. Volcanic and metamorphic, of smooth obsidian and compacted gravel, they are glassy in places, lumpy in others. You are struck by the silence here, only broken by the quiet sound of the lapping waves
