Granite Wedge

AMANDA 1963-1995 Mandy was born in Ithaca, NY in 1963. She moved to Cool, California after high-school, and spent a year in the Seirra Nevada hiking and climbing and hanging out in the wilderness. She enrolled at UC Davis the following year and majored in ecology and zoology, hoping to become a forest service ranger. Her life took a slightly different course, and she ended up doing ecological research, and most recently as a writer and editor for several journals. While working in Canada this month, she was fatally injured in an automobile accident on her way to the airport. She was a great friend to many, and will be remembered in their hearts and in the manner in which she touched their lives. ---Pache
