Galerie

You've done the rounds to all the Paris museums and have seen many wonderful images that are collectively beginning to have a therapeutic affect on you: yourshoulders are loosening up; the filters you use to view the world are becoming more receptive and inclusive rather than reactive; your mind is burgeoning with new ideas, and you're learning to accept many things and go with the flow...But the sense of history and heaviness you sense as you've trudged through countless churches begins to gel with the troublesome question of who decides what becomes canonical--what merits attention and is worth saving...The gallery and museum are places where others have decided for YOU what they think is important. This gallery is an attempt at subverting that tradition. As you enter the gallery you are blinded by the blank, gessoed canvases hanging on the walls reflecting the light streaming through the glass ceiling. The only furniture in the room are a small table and chair placed to the side of each canvas and several liters of bottled mineral water. You're going to be here a long time. This is a gallery where YOU decide and YOU create the new canon. You have as much time, as much paint and as many brushes as you'll need to create 'DA NEW MASTAPIECES. As with anything, what you put into something is what you will get out of it...
