An acropolis is a citadel or fortified high place. In this case, it was a sacred precinct and fortress. From here, you can see far out, over the Agora, and to the sea. It is so peaceful, standing here in the night, a slight breeze hitting you...you feel calm. Perhaps you should explore the Parthenon now...
