An above-average number of transporter pads handles the exceptional amount of traffic passing through Starfleet Headquarters. Visitors are continuously beaming in and out. You may get a headache if you stay here for too long staring at the matter streams and all the blinking lights. An overworked transporter chief and several assistants operate the equipment with a seemingly nonstop flurry of gestures.
