Generic Bowling Lane
IT'S HERE!!
It's the generic bowling lane. Now you can make your own bowling alley
just like the Amazingly Clever But Very Modest Great One Fumble did.
Admittedly the lane is prone to low scores, but it's still rather
realistic. Just as in "real-life" bowling, if you get a strike, you'll get
extra points for the next two rolls; for a spare, one bonus roll. There is
a 1-in-10 chance of getting a strike, as well as the same chances of getting
a gutter ball. Eventually, I'll figure out how to make 6's and 7's a bit more
plentiful than strikes, but this is OK for now, ain't it?
The instructions couldn't be simpler. BOWL
Once you finish the 10th frame, it resets itself. If you want to start
a new game, just RESET .
The lane is a THING, not a ROOM, so don't try to @GO into a lane. You
can put as many (within some huge limit) lanes as you want in a room.
The lane doesn't keep track of who's playing on it; it keeps a score
for that lane, not the player. Anyone could "jump in" to a lane and finish
someone else's game. PLAY NICE, CHILDREN!!
The lane announces all of its events only to the player. Everyone else
in the room will only see the accumulating score and the final.
If anything weird happens, let me know. So far, it's worked for me
without any bugs, but it IS an 80+ line program and I'm only human.
ENJOY!!! Fumble
