The beach
You are on a long beach which stretches into the mist towards the south and ends in a bay surrounded by high cliffs to the north. The beach forms a cove toward the east. There is a pier with a weathered shanty on the far side of the bay. The sand beneath your feet squeaks as you walk on it. Small brightly coloured shells lay at your feet and the sound of the ocean fills your ears. The smell of the sand and the salt laden air is takes you back to a time half remembered, a time of happiness and of days far to short.
The first light of day is breaking. A warm, soft wind blows in from the morning skies.
